Welcome Rice and Pennell Family! The purpose of this blog is to post and collect historical stories about the Rice Families and Pennell Families originating in Bedford County, PA. I am James M. Rice, son of Thomas C. Rice, son of Jacob Glen ('Pap') Rice. And on from there. Because Pap married Ina Mae ('Gram') Pennell, Gram's ancestors will also be featured prominently in this blog. I am trying to locate the family of Sarah Rice who was born about 1796 and we think she was born in Bedford Co. PA. She married George Lee b. about 1796 in Virginia, but came to PA where they were married. Their first several children were born in PA: Mary, John, George Jr. and William.
ReplyDeleteThey moved to Summit Co. Ohio then Williams Co. Ohio in the late 1830's or 40's. Does any of this fit with your Rice family? Thanks,
